Ukrainian schoolchildren have surprised the world once again. According to the international PISA study, more than half of our teenagers use artificial intelligence weekly for learning. This is higher than in many well-fed and quiet Western countries.

Add to this 478 points in digital assessment — and we have a portrait of a generation that, under the sounds of sirens and in the darkness of blackouts, managed to master the technologies of the future faster than adults.

 

But what stands behind these figures? Are our children growing up as geniuses of the digital era, or have they simply learned to cheat on their homework in three seconds using ChatGPT? And most importantly — is the school ready for students who prompt better than their own teachers?

 

To understand where the line between a superpower and digital deafness lies, we turned to the specialists of the educational-scientific complex of continuous education — "People's Ukrainian Academy" (PUA).
